Tbh I’m kinda shocked they’re playing old tracks. I really thought they’d just play this… and honestly if I were to see them that’s literally what I’d want. I still think The Eye of Every Storm is their best record but this just seems like it would fucking THRIVE in a live setting.
I mean fuck it, ideal setlist would be just this in full + The Eye of Every Storm t/t as an encore… but it seems like they maybe don’t have a ton of love for that album. When I saw them headline over Converge like a decade ago they didn’t play shit off that and now there’s nothing at this Fire in the Mountains show either :/
I guess I’m glad they’re giving love to Times of Grace, that’s probably my third favorite album of theirs. Distill is such a killer tune too

Also if they’re gonna play old tracks I’m SHOCKED they didn’t play anything off Souls at Zero or Through Silver in Blood… I’m not too tapped into the fandom but I always figured those were the fan favorites.

And I hate to sound cunty but damn Untethered is easily the worst song here imo, In the Waiting Hours or Last Light would’ve been way cooler but I know those songs are long as shit so maybe they were wanting to have a higher energy track in there

They don’t really play anything of souls or Eye. They did bring a couple back around the 30 year anniversary ‘the web’ and even ‘takeahnase’
I don’t personally wanna hear songs Scott was heavy on clean vox on with Aaron. Especially like EOES or a season in the sky. I initially thought that with even the heavier vox but I guess and it looks like that works a treat and ofcourse such a massive back catalogue to ignore it would be crazy.
Must be amazing for Asron who said how heavily influenced he was by EOTS to be playing ‘lost’ as a member of neurosis…man

Nah, fuck that. Setlist was great, but I do think they should've played more from the old catalogue. "The Doorway"* would go hard with Aaron on vox.

Yeah its gotta be kinda surreal for Aaron to be a member of neurosis now lmao
