The funny thing about Holy Roller is that they capitalized on its success by releasing a version with Ryo who outshines Courtney so hard lol



They did used to be better about doing super heavy songs and keeping them more varied rather than big fuck you pit music, I do still like songs like Cellar Door and Angel tho. Agreed they can do better, we'll just wait and see how they tackle it on album 2

i only skip hurt you and strange world but i dont think ive listened to either since the week this came out except the rare occasion im subjected to hurt you in the wild (which always makes me go "damn this shit sucks" lmao). subbed them for the two non album tracks around this time and did some editing to make a rule of nines/yellowjacket transition that fits as seamlessly as the og one here. also sub in the og holy roller for the ryo version everytime ofc

I might dig Jaded, Constance and possibly one other song of theirs more but I can't really argue with this at all

And for this album, honestly it pains me to say this because this was originally one of my favorite tracks, but the only two I tend to gloss over here when I'm not doing a straight up album playthrough are Hurt You and Holy Roller.



They're good, but songs like Sun Killer, Yellowjacket, Secret Garden, Circle With Me, and Constance just destroy them imo
