side B felt shaky but Hollywood was quite stirring, wrapped up the project nicely. was dubious on a 4/5 before the closer

absolute garbage, didn't think he could sink so low
Skeleton Tree was shaky but had its merits
this entire album is like an even shittier and more uninspired version of the worst song in his career (distant skies)
so self-indulgent

Bright Horses is magnificent, wouldn't sound out of place on a National album.

Felt like a pretty coherent expansion on Push the Sky away, with a bit of No More Shall We Part thrown in on Side A, and that album was received a little more favourably than SWB as far as precursors go

Look as long as it doesn't bore me to death like The National do on a daily basis, it'll be fine

I asumed the album cover was a trap and the music would be something unexpected. It was still a surprise then, I guess.

Ghosteen is fortunately short for double album standards.

Haha I just can't get into it. Push the sky away is best nick cave of 2010s by a mile imo. Not a fan of the new auiobook style
