Haha, true - just look at Keith Moon. Oh.

But then again, every member of the Who was kind of fucked up once.

Danny Carey was probably the guy that made me pick up the sticks in the first place, hearing Lateralus for the first time pretty much blew my mind and changed my view on the instrument. Along with Gavin Harrison and Billy Cobham these three pretty much formed my drumming style.

DC's drum performance on Lateralus is far and away one of the best I've ever heard. maybe the best.

Its completely mindblowing i agree. His performance on Aenema and 10.000 is quite closely matched though. DC is beyond

consistent

Haake is insane aswell, too bad hes easily overlooked by most people.

I know alot of people don't like Obzen but the drumming on Bleed is crazy, the kick drum rhythm itself is mindblowing. That shit must be hard as fuck to play.

I doubt Meshuggah are as innovative as people say, I'm sure they were just listening to Master of Puppets and the Cd started to skip and it had that mechanical off kilter sound so they decided to run with it.

Why is Nothing the best Meshuggah album, I personally enjoy most of their songs equally cause Nothing, I, Chaosphere, Destroy Erase Improve, and Catch Thirty Three all seem equally good to me.

That's what I thought, the only album I ever finished by them was One but it's just 1 20 minute song.

Chaosphere was my favorite. Actually it's a toss up between that or DEI.

I really doubted DEI since it came right out the gates going BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP then I turned it off, it's actually alot better than I thought tho after that.

Future Breed Machine is their best track by far. I would never turn that off.
