Program music was a mistake.

If you just set aside your locust-like need for consumption and instant gratification for one sec you will find a deep album here that in fact proves that you are the mistake, you and your trivial Bach nonsense. Take your powdered wig and jam it down your pox-ridden urethra, k thx bye.

Your bait was pretty good until the Bach part. 5/10, almost there, made me reply.
Also, just so you know, I used to like this a lot.

Do you like this thing, dude? I'm almost sure you don't, but maybe I'm wrong.

"Is Bach not the guy? Darn, I ruined it, sorry."
I call him the greatest of all time but the problem is that calling "trivial", "nonsense" and imply that someone who listens to his work has a "locust-like need for consumption and instant gratification" is just a bit too much. Like, if you had stopped at the "mistake" part (maybe keep the powdered wig thing) I would maybe make a reply saying something like "bro i listen to classical music how can you say that wtf", but you messed up.

"yeah nah the only post-rock/crescendo-wank i get down with is what burns/american don-era don caballero"
That's actually pretty good stuff, nice.

"alex you like do make say think?"
I have only listened to a couple of tracks from Goodbye Enemy Airship the Landlord Is Dead (the first two iirc) and, eh, I didn't particularly like them, but maybe I should listen to them.

@Alex I was just trying to make myself laugh. And I succeeded. And yeah, I do have deep affection for this album but I also haven't listened to it in years. I can certainly see how people couldn't get into it, I mean the songs are 18 minutes long... It's clearly for a certain audience.

I admit their recordings don't even come close to doing justice to the live versions

I could see a critical listener reasonably coming to the conclusion that this band hits too hard on easy pathos with their Climaxes tbh. Maybe I should expand on that hmm

Absolutely, but if you were to make that point surely Monheim would be the easiest example to pick out?

3-pieces are always the noisiest bands tbh, they've gotta punch above their weight the whole time

@Johnny I’m sure you’re right, I’ll have to listen to the album again and look at the so-called tracklist tho cuz I don’t remember where “monheim” is
