Yeah their only depressing track is From Sinking, the middle is all bittersweet sounding then then suddenly you're hit by a soul crushing heavy riff and agonizing screams. I liken it to a junkie awakening from a heroin nod as they look down at their infected vein and trashed apartment as reality comes crashing down on them.

The tone of this album jumps around a lot... wouldn't describe it as "sad" but it definitely jumps back and forth from super dark and broody to uplifting and empowering to melancholy and sad



But as a whole I feel like Oceanic is pretty sparse on the uplifting/empowering moments... more crushing and hopeless to me
