I’m biased because I previously had emotional investment in this band & then they released this. Some of their stuff stands up pretty well even now but this is the moment everything changed, the beginning of the end for me.

This is better than I remember it to be. Undisclosed Desires, United States Of Eurasia, MK Ultra and Exogenesis are all great.
This might be their most mediocre record though. The guitars lack of beef, the vocals often seem a little too cold and not emotionally convincing AND it's really save. There is just too much on here that could have been better

this was the last album I heard from this band. the singles I've heard from their upcoming album are truly awful. this band fell off really hard.

re-exploring this album, this is the only album I don't know a great deal about, if I remember I was a fan of their singles from albums prior to this (time's running out, Bliss etc), but the band kind of fell off my radar during this album besides Uprising (actually one of my favorite Muse songs), since then, I have become a big fan of Drones and even 2nd Law, but Sim Theory is still a hard pill to swallow, I recall thinking this album was too slow moving at parts, but I'm hoping for it to grow on me, also the verse of Resistance is very reminiscent of Children by Robert Miles imo lol
