Just heard 'Afterlife' as it was recommended to me on youtube. This is cheesy and cliched, I remember hearing some of their early stuff that was ok-ish, but this uuurghh.

Afterlife is an awful song, but you can't judge the entire album on one song. A Little Piece of Heaven and Critial Acclaim are much better

The only two songs that I don't like from this are Almost Easy (meh...) and Lost (MEH! MEH!). I would have switched those two with something from Diamonds in the Rough like Demons and The Fight. The rest is nothing truly amazing but is really funny to headbang to. I used to love Afterlife years ago, but I still don't mind it today. I still come back to this for Critical Acclaim, Scream, Unbound and Brompton Cocktail (underrated song).
I prefer this over Nightmare, I have a love-hate relationship with that one.

^ That chorus is atrocious, but the rest is ok. That's why I hate the song: it could have been
good.

I thought nightmare was pretty cool. Save Me ranks among their best songs

a little piece of heaven is a fun sing a long to just cut loose and get silly. i wouldn't listen to it
in any other capacity though.

pre chorus vocal melody in welcome to the family is ripped straight out of almost easy

Well ripping off bands, including themselves apparently, is what A7X does best so that's not surprising

i was about to disagree with you, but then i remembered that hail to the king exists

At least albums like Nightmare and City of Evil are interesting to listen to even though they're unoriginal, Hail to the King is one of the most bland, boring, predictable albums I've ever heard. Might have to go down to a 1 for me

I enjoy God Hates Us, actually. One of my favorites on Nightmare for sure

I used to love God Hates Us, but it got old quickly. For me, instead, some tracks on this album sound still fresh. Really, each time I listen to something from this I can't understand all the hate it gets (except Almost Easy and Lost that are annoying beyond reason).
I can agree that Nightmare feels complete though, while this is just a bunch of... things. That I can give you. But I still find this pretty funny.
Can you tell me what songs do you like the least from this?
