slamwich (dumb name yes) ep is by far the best myspace revival band i've heard, especially if you like melodic riffs and br00tlness. perfectly captures the era.



otherwise there's a bunch of good downtempo stuff but most revival stuff just bores me. superficially myspace dxc but doesn't have any of the catchy songwriting.

Corpse Pile kind of scratches the itch

Even the deathcore that's still "inspired" by death metal sounds more like Lorna Shore than say despised icon. "Sprawling" soundscapes with an unintelligible ogre barking over it.

Angelmaker was scratching the itch for awhile but they kinda drifted into lornashorecore with their newest alb



Whitechapel and Despised Icon have also both done the same on their respective latest albums which is a shame. Whitechapel even had the audacity to say that they were going back to their roots before their newest album.
