Not agreed. Their next few albums were very different but still solid (though admittedly far weaker than BM and CtS). That said, Emperor and CDP are/were fantastic.

Still surprised by all the Emperor backlash, I love it. Probably my 3rd fav Mastodon.
Sun is definitely their worst but still solid with some great songs (Tread Lightly, The Motherload, Chimes at Midnight, Diamond in the Witch House).
