WWII scenario where it all kicks off pretty easily, but the lingering "this wasn't supposed to happen again" transcends all
realtalk though, I remember the Stare thread being a huge all-site deal where everyone hopped on board, all vibes were floated, a few hysterical peaks were reached, most of us had a good time, and then it all boiled down to a wholesome field of discourse. this one has been a pretty marked shift (and, yes, notably more toolish lol - had some of those vibes on Stare (anyone remember MementoMori?) but they were pretty well balanced on the whole)
