I turned the game off as soon as the first showed Josh Allen’s reaction and welling up. I knew it was bad the moment I saw that juxtaposed with the actual incident. Wasn’t a surprise to me that it was that bad and the game got shut down.



Good on the coaches and players for pushing to axe the game. No way the players continue. I’m just glad I didn’t put myself through watching ESPN try to navigate the situation, though it’s never an easy job to have to stall like that.

Thankfully, with CPR being administered promptly, his chances are much better. But news is sparse right now.

Cardiac arrest due to an unknown factor. Most people saying “Commotio Cordis” which basically shuts the heart off or irregulates heartbeat due to a sudden impact. Because the hit didn’t seem hard, it’s not known if that is the exact cause. Other people saying aortic burst or a spinal cord pinch due to a vertebrae misalignment. Really hard to know exactly.



And of course twitter is on fire saying it was the vaccine causing blood clots and a heart attack. Actual neanderthals.



Him being sedated and intubated is better than it could be, but it’s all about brain activity at this point. CPR was quick for sure but they were doing CPR for 10 min on the field meaning his brain wasn’t getting O2 during then.



Probably won’t see a statement come out until concrete answers are obtained. No shot they jump the gun on any updates. All things considered, he was very fortunate to be surrounded by medical staff the moment this happened. A lot of people aren’t so lucky.
