I see melon and yeah nope. He did Deafheaven, Slowdive, Hum, and M83 dirty. Don’t even care to see him for real.

“This really did end up being their Shelter”

No need to elaborate. Shelter is best Alcest. And I will die on that hill

Neptune is kinda pointless tbh :/ It's a neat lil interlude, but they definitely could have replaced it with a short, energetic track.

I also appreciate you bumping my rambles Brushed ;]

Settling on a strong 4 for this. Next album has potential to be a 5, so I guess its time to play the waiting game once again.

it's funny because one of the comments he responded to about the blackgaze trend being over, i thought it was over when sunbather came out. there'd already been so many releases in it. but then deafheaven got popular for regurgitating the same sounds that were already stale and imitators came out that were a stale imitation of a stale imitation and woof, it's hard for me to remember when i found blackgaze to even be exciting

"But you guys gotta remember Alcest returned with Kodama after their straight forward gaze album. These guys will most likely follow suit and return to form on the next one methinks."

No way, this is getting a pretty good reception, they'll keep ditching the harder stuff and eventually become a warm, melodic marshmellow.
