Radiant City is my favorite on here just for that filthy-ass riff alone, best riff in their entire discography perhaps.

This to me seems almost like a direct succesor to Diamond Eyes.

S/T was an album of big ideas, but poor execution. This is the exact opposite, the execution is spot on here, everything sounds very well-constructed versus forcefully stitched together on S/T.

"this sounds like what S/T should have been."

Don't wanna be "that guy", but is it me or is this album basically what we've been hearing Eros was supposed to be for all these years? Like it's def a more logical progression from SNW than Diamond Eyes. Super gaze-y, lots of atmosphere not a ton of heavy bangers...

This is probably their best flowing album to date, so I can agree with that.

Completely disagree. The thing I will give Ohms is that it's 100% more cohesive than the s/t and a more complete experience, but the atmosphere, the intensity and the shroud of darkness that permeates the self-tilted could only be matched by SNW. Even if the s/t feels disjointed at times, their best material is on there along with SNW and WP.

You know, I can totally see that. SNW is definitely #3 best of their albums, imo. Underrated as fuck album. Maybe this will have folks revisiting and rethinking

Abe's rhythm section is like 60% of the reason as to why Deftones have been so groovy throughout the years

@valkoor Disjointed is the perfect word I'd use for S/T.
