All Hope Is Gone and The Gray Chapter both have some great songs, but I don't think as whole albums they work as cohesively or successfully as their first 3 records.

what's the story with Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat? nobody ever talks about it, is that not actually considered their debut?
also this is my 77th most scrobbled band! I'll get around to finally ratings more of their stuff this week

It’s the Slipknot record that’s the most like Mr. Bungle. Very corny but pretty fun, it’s worth checking out just to hear earlier versions of songs like Sic, Gently, and Iowa

MFKR is great, but I wouldn't ever recommend it to a slipknot fan that hasn't come across it on their own. like david said, more mr. bungle than the band slipknot would go on to be

Pointless story: I was 11 years old when the video for “Wait and Bleed” came out. I thought it was the worst shit I’d ever heard. I hated their dick-nose costumes and the fact that they had like 9 fucking members. Now though, I find the whole thing oddly appealing. Maybe I was the dick-nose all along.

At first I saw this as kind of the band losing steam but I see it as a subtler evolution of the band.

New mask is so fucking creepy. I love it. Hoping for at least a new single soon. I'm seeing them in late October.
