"And I guess Steve Harris agrees with me ;)"

I respect the guy quite a bit but the last decade and a half of Iron Maiden's material has been mostly abysmal. If he's too much of a dummy to realize how influential and actually excellent the Di'Anno material was, that's on him.

Considering how much better their next 5 albums without him are, i think he made the right choice. Not to mention the punk ass drunk/drugged bad attitude and lousy concert performance.

Maiden would not be releasing new stuff and touring if they had kept Di'Anno.

Some of their first successes were with Di'Anno and they were already getting huge in Europe and across the globe with him as a frontman. Besides, as stated previously, a lot of their new stuff is boring as hell.

*sigh*

Di'Anno is a punk. He was (and still is) very self destructive. They had gigs where he couldn't perform at all...in the few years they were together. How do you imagine a band surviving this ? They would have faded. Also, Harris was looking for a singer with a better voice, to allow him to do more. He has said so numerous times.

As a Di'Anno fan, I need to refute all of this. They would not have blown up with him, Bruce is what they needed for worldwide domination.
