It's actually a pretty cool song with a great ending, but the verses go on forever and are so dull on top of that, so it gets annoying very fast. Same with Era - the song obivously has its strengths like the chorus, but damn, it takes forever till it gets to that point

As much as I like many of these later albums, I do feel bad for Fredrik. He's only played on one of Opeth's prog-death oriented albums, lol

Yeah I doubt this is what he signed up for but I'm sure he's relatively happy making good money for a musician and making weird music no one wants. Can't wait till he inevitably does a metal project again

There's still pretty much to enjoy on here, at least for me. And I really admire how they pull it off at live performances, tight and accurate af. They're all amazing and talented musicians and I don't think Fredrik feels chained or something.
