"I completely understand not liking this record. What I have a tougher time with are the ones who really enjoyed Sempiternal and hate this one. Are they really that different? I'm sure a number of tracks from this sound like they would have fit in just fine on that album."

Every now and then, in history, endearment leads us to a record that has tremendously taken the world by storm
In the 1960s, it was the Beatles
In the 1970s, it was ABBA
In the 1980s, it was Metallica
In the 1990s, it was The Toadies
In the 2000s, it was Moonrabbit
In the 2010s, it is officially Bring Me the Horizon
They have become the biggest rock band in the world, and the biggest the world has seen since Moonrabbit dropped their third record.

The reason sempiternal is aweSome and this is garbage? Sempiternal had a release. Perfect example would be the "wake up" breakdown in sleepwalking.
This doesn't go anywhere. Just sorta builds to nothing, and that's frustrating. Just stagnate. No Sharp edges to scare off the breaking Benjamin crowd
