I mentioned in the post above that I really enjoy the title-track(both wings tracks) and Right In Two.

It's a good album, but I was disappointed upon its release. At least with Lateralus, you waited 5 years and you got 80 minutes of pure rock. The filler songs are useless and annoying on 10,000 Days, but the actual songs are really good (like always). Still my favorite band, still a good album, but I want something more along the lines of Lateralus with their next album (whenever that may be).

Danny's drumming on this is so insanely boss

Nah, Danny Carey is pretty much present-day's best drummer.

Yeh NP hes definitely up there with the best. Clive Barker might be a good drummer, only read his books though.

Of cause, Barker's great, but not on Carey level - I haven't read his books though ^

agreed, Danny Carey is up there with the current best but he's not THE best imo

other drummers put in the conversation should at least be Tomas Haake, Neil Peart (still) and maybe Brann Dailor and I'm sure there are more that I can't think of off the top of my head

Yeah, I prefer Neil Peart, but I mean drummers who's been playing for no longer than 20-25 years.

Wow... has it already been that long since Tool came out?

And Brann Dailor is also a favorite of mine, he's just not on Danny's level either

I prefer Dailor's style on remission thru blood mountain to what Danny Carey has done just barely, but they're definitely two of the best imo

gotta respecfully disagree MO...I'm a Brann fan (yeah I know that sounds super gay). but I know his style isn't popular with everybody.

i mean he's solid for sure, but to put him up there as one of the best is just plain wrong, i remember seeing mastodon a while back and it was just the same tom fills over and over and over

Not saying one of the best ever, but one of the best today to come out within the last 20 years, I'd say

Besides, he seems like a cool guy. Met him on my trip to Chicago in April.
