Don't dig the instrumental honestly, a big let-down for me. It's so damn dry.

From what I’ve witnessed about The Dillinger Escape Plan’s newest album and its incoming reception, it seems what’s on many peoples’ minds is whether the release will be “the one in which they stumble.”

That was Miss Machine, IMO.

Good review.

Got my preorder in the mail today (order on the 7th, great way to start the weekend), so better rips will be coming.

Minus the instrumental, I love how Understanding Decay, Paranoia Shields and Magic That I Held You Prisoner go one after the other, favorite songs by far.

Given time this will be my favorite Dillinger. It seems to have a really high energy to it that I feel some of the previous albums lack. Like Ire Works seems dry and Option kinda Dillinger by the numbers (minus Mona Lisa and Good Neighbor). And I love how they mix the melody with the spastic on here.

Yay!

I love calculating, but how they managed to not have as many forced transitions and perfect their "poppy" songs on here is just too awesome. The small parts of melody in the heavy songs works really well too. If it weren't for ISIS, they'd be my favorite band.

DO IT LIVE.

Are you saying Widower is a by-the-numbers Dillinger song? or even Parasitic Twin? c'mon

No but the heavy songs and Chinese Whispers are.

Although Widower sometimes reminds me of a weaker version of Mouth Of Ghosts (amazing song). Still good though.

Psyched for this but gonna wait for a 320 version... Gonna be tough to be better than miss machine/option paralysis though.
