also, a bit of a harder question but did you notice any featurings?
it's honestly really hard for me to say that it's better because of the songs from this that i love (pattern interrupt, heart, vaalbara) but i'll try to tell you everything i can remember from when i heard it
they definitely haven't slacked on writing instrumentals. the drums sound more like their own instrument on the new album, whereas they seemed pretty in line with the guitar parts on here. there's more singing on the new album and i'm not so sure that there's even one song that doesn't have it. there's an 8 minute song that's pretty fuckin sweet. it's a lot more like impulse than andromeda. the scream vox are better and in a lower tone. i don't remember hearing anything that sounded like they were trying to innovate any sort of new sound. so basically, if you like this, there's a good chance you'll either love the new album or not like it because it's not that much different. it's hard to say for certain if it will make any haters change their mind but if i'm being honest it almost definitely won't, haha.
tl;dr it's a lot like this but with slightly better instrumentals and more singing. if i had to rate it based off of my one time listening to it through dock speakers i'd give it a 3-3.5

honestly this album will probably be one of my all time favourites, it's just everything i love about this genre and this band does it really, really well.
i also love how they have no brocore or br00t4l moments. just straight up good progressive metalcore.
