but seriously though.. the "breakdown" at 1:17 of Flourish is like the most over used and recycled bullshit ive heard in deathcore. How many times do we have to hear that exact same same passage..
the section after that has some clean vocals though so i guess that makes it different!
contortionist = whitechapel with a shitty vocalist and forced clean interludes in p much every song

I mean some of the breakdowns aren't anything spectacular, but the quirky time signatures definitely set them aside from Whitechapel. WC hardly ever goes out of 4/4 with their breakdowns. Most of these breakdowns are syncopated and are polyrhythmic. That and the fact that there are pretty decent leads over some the breakdowns on this as where WC is just normally the open notes.
I'm not trying to argue to be a dick, I just wanted to know your opinion. And don't lump me in with the djent kids.
