I know, I wasn't referring to your comments specifically, I was more referring to the fact that some of the people who fit into that "get sick of the death metal vocals" category would probably say that Opeth are overrated. I'm also not a death metal fan but there are some exceptions, namely Death and Atheist and some of the old school stuff that crosses over into thrash or vice versa.
