Damn straight titan. Not gonna go into a big argument about what’s the first bm album or what’s proto black metal but as you know, that was the feeling att

This band was necessary and essential.

85% of everything that had followed is an unsubstantial copy with absolutely nothing near the wake up call this band were at the time.

They were required to push things forward and they did so on a scale that you slags (not you muzz and Titan) have absolutely nothing to compare with.

you're both annoying.

anyways i feel like without this band being such a huge name in the metal zeitgeist and without the changing of the narrative to "metal must be masculine" we get rid of a solid 50% of the early 00s metalcore hate, especially the homophobic stuff. you're never gonna get the dm/bm/extreme elitists to latch on but i don't think we get as many mainstream metal fans calling them the F slur for being more emotional.

Ah the duality of Smok: to effortlessly embed both the based and the cringe in a singular post is (almost) artistic

I guess "save it" from the emotional gravitas of grunge which far surpasses this in feeling

yea see this is how u tell poseur shit from real shit, poseurs are always attempting to be masculine, real mheads already are masculine and dont need to prove anything they just metal

Back then of course not. Not nearly enough oomph to warrant a listen.

This was mainstream oomph and necessary. The oomph still abounds.

that it became mainstream no doubt but i'd hardly call the silly resultant reputation for things called metal to be necessary
