It’s testament to the band, for them to be able to make an album this good when the hype was so unbearably high and unrealistic expectations were set, but imo they actually delivered here.
The t/t is a bit of a slog because it just sounds like 10k day b side, but the rest of the songs here are incredible.
That drum part in Invincible halfway through is fucking insane and gets me every time

Whoever did the mixing on the vinyl release is incompetent and he should resign and make room for someone maybe with a brain. It sounds like he turned the stereo widener slider all the way up in the mix except for the drum channel. *Face palm!*
Also, why tf didn't Johnny review Junko Yagami's Communication yet? I'm so mad..

I’m just saying a mod or Jeremy could hit delete on all tool on Sputnik and things would be better here.

Sounds like you have some kind of ptsd. Were you maybe abused while Tool was playing?

I love the TT. It's great. My one complaint is that it sounds weird when the drum sounds switch halfway through. Not sure why they did that.

Honestly, I don't think the original mix/production is much better either. Always seemed quite flat to me, especially compared to how dynamic Lateralus and Aenima sound

Yeah, the original mix is pretty flat. Probably my biggest issue with the record outside of the atrocious interludes. I never play them.

No one said the original mix is good, stop putting words in my mouth lol. The vinyl improved dynamic range but in the worst possible way, by making the guitar, bass and vocal tracks sound anemic and ultra-wide. Original mix is compressed and low IQ, but at least it sounds like a metal record, instruments have body and texture to them, meanwhile vinyl mix sounds like a garage demo put together in 4 days with 100$.
Why are nu-Americans so emotional when communicating? Stop looking for arguments where there are none to be found. Seriously, drop estrogen (milk, beef etc.)

You literally made a more emotional and offended response than what I commented, lol
