"tries too hard"

5'd Deftones.

What the hell, since when do Deftones ever try hard to be emotionally affecting?

@Betray. Not really - you get past 21 and see certain things in a different light. That doesn't make this a bad album though,

just not the classic that the sopsters claim it to be.

This narrowly edges out Daisy for best BN, and TKOL is underrated. I love The Bends, but HTTT is better than both

Most overrated band on this site.

I literally don't get it.

Not really - I'm 28 and love it, lyrics aren't my bag like they were when it came out though. Yes, Jesse is a wizard with words,

but subject matter isn't that groundbreaking/classic worthy.

Listening to this doesn't make someone immature at all. It's a pretty mature album after all. You may not like the album, but it sure as hell is mature.

I wore this album out years ago I haven't listened to it in a very long time and have no desire to but I still cherish it as a special album

Exactly, this is very mature especially for its genre and the bands past. Daisy is even more mature, especially lyrically

I see Daisy as a step downward lyrically but that album still rules.

It's way heavier and completely gets rid of all the pop punk/emo elements which I appreciate but this has more to it overall
