The production on this album is perfect, it Has such a distinct early 2000s turn of the century sound that reminds me of being a kid and how lots of heavy music was recorded back then. Like a metalcore/post hardcore recorded with nu metal sensibilities (probably much to the chagrin of some of the members). Definitely a touchstone and signature of Ross Robinson

The lyrics take a lion's share of the attention due to their controversial nature. but there's a very specific eclectic blend of musical styles and production aesthetics here that so many bands have tried to recreate but couldn't quite accomplish. There's nothing else like this album. A time capsule like a mortar shell
