They're gonna hit the big time with the next album, mark my words. They're already at 250k monthly listeners on Spotify, when I first discovered them in 2021 they were only at 40k.

bound to happen.
But for now I’m stuck watching them play probably 6 songs or something opening for nothing nowhere.
Seeyouspacecowboy should be cool and at least I’ll get to be in bed at a decent time I guess

Yeh I agree, they got a pretty huge crowd at download considering they were first on, it was hot as fuck and we'd already had 2 days of music by the time they were playing. This winters coming tour is probably the last time we'll get to see them at sub 500 cap venues here in the UK and I am giddy to see them again. They're supporting BMTH in arena's just after the new year which will give them huge exposure.

Oli must dig them, BMTH has brought them along a few times now, yeah? Live exposure in this scene doesn't get much better than that at the moment.

I really fucking hope they don't ruin their sound once they gain popularity
this brand of nostalgic emocore is practically nonexistent in this day and age

On overseas tours? They didn't bring them along for their 2021 UK arena run IIRC. Yeh BMTH are fucking huge now it's crazy how quickly their coming arena tour has sold.

Olli and Oli are good friends now. Only a matter of time until these guys are featured on a BMTH track and boom, that's their ticket to fame.
Also we shouldn't have to worry about that Pika, they still have 100% creative control after signing to Roadrunner.

I haven't followed too many bands from the time they were basically "nothing" to being huge so it's kind of cool seeing Static Dress (potentially) hit that level. I remember in 2019 seeing someone on reddit post Clean. and I was instantly hooked and then mad that they only had one song and were taking forever to put out more work.
Given how good they are and their aesthetic, I can't seen them not blowing up, especially with Gen Z.

How many bands have actually gone from nothing to huge though in the past decade or 2?
I still can't believe I've seen BMTH in a 300 something cap pub in Manc to a field with 130k people in it.

Depends on your definition of huge I suppose. I don't see Static Dress ever being as big as BMTH and selling out stadiums/arenas unless they dramatically change their sound. I'm looking at Static Dress becoming huge within the context of their scene, the way Underoath and The Devil Wears Prada were 15 years ago.

Huge = Selling arenas out imo.
Static Dress will have done really well for themselves if they end up easily selling out academies and venues slightly larger.

even with them still having 100% creative control, still have to cross our fingers they don't try to sound more "accessible" in the future. can't say i'm too keen on them buddying up with BMTH
