This album is underrated because of the band’s name. If it was another name, it would be a solid 3.9/4. Too many black metal wannabes or gatekeepers hate them because they are “hipsters.” Anything with lo-fi shitty production on a four track has apparently been ripped off by Deafheaven. Give the band a break on this album.

i see this band as kind of a fleet foxes thing where pitchfork pushed them so damn hard that when the press heat dies off there isn't an organic crowd to support
