That sucks man im on a 4 year foundation year course, just finished the foundation year so im actually only starting my proper degree this year so workloads not gonna be too hard

Is the foundation year essentially A-Level stuff? Also what are you studying?
Your first year won't have that much work as you said, just enjoy it for the most part. 2nd year courses start to heat up for most courses, while mine they just kicked me right in the deep end at the beginning.

Philosophy and na its just general humanities stuff at university level complexity but theres just less contact time and not that much work (so pretty easy yet some people still manage to fail somehow)

Oh trust me some people are so fucking useless idk how they even go through A-Levels (for example someone who was having a tattoo done on the day of an very important presentation I had to do with her and didn't show up).
