Nah man. It's one of my least favorite QR tracks, but it has a certain magic to it that so few other songs have. I also felt immensely different about it after becoming a parent.

The song is corny lyrically, but there are moments of brilliance in the song like that part where the background instrumentation rises after he says ''theres a place i like to hide, a doorway that I run through in the night'' etc etc. and the chorus is pretty strong too.

i heard a funny story about Geoff Tate on Eddie Trunk's podcast back in the day, Chris jericho, scott ian, and sebastian bach and some others were on there, and they were talking about how Geoff was a real prick to deal with on tour. I guess one of the guys back when Mindcrime had came out, asked Geoff about the concept for the album and Geoff said something like ''I don't want to talk about concept albums'' but he said it in a way where like they were serfs or something to him lmao.

The way the whole band comes in for the first time is unreal with headphones. Watch any of those youtube girls reacting to it with swoons lol.

Their run from '83 to '94 is pretty much perfect.

I mean, it's 80's. But it's insanely impressive for an 80's album.

"I mean, it's 80's." that's what I'm "afraid" of, that and the genre tags it can go terrible for my aesthetics. But you guys convinced me well enough to give it a shot XD

so far they're good but it's not quite my thing. I can't seem to fit in this type of hard rock.

Aye. It's really good probably, but also not quite my bag.
