Citadel is like a super dumbed down and boring version of this for me.

One of the modern black/death that does not instantly throws me off. The clean vox is tolerable here, riffs and violin interplay's will make up for any vox.

Great album, love it from times to times, definitely not an easy listening one. Deserves attention.

I like Citadel way more, too. It's the sense of completement. It feels like a stand alone chapter, rather than a mere collection of songs. This is killer, though, too.

Im getting in to this and like it a lot so far. Its an easy listening, but the music here is very well structured and has sense direction, which is kinda rare with currnt bands. It's catchy as hell in a good way.

The bass in this is really interesting. Props to Cygnus for going above and beyond.

Indeed, I feel no urge to play this again.

But now I want to listen to some Bill Hicks, thanks benkim.

The kick drum here sounds heavenly. That's the ultimate recording of kick drum in recent metal, maybe it's production that allows it sound so distinctive, i dunno. It's just plain awesome how it sounds. Just check Tapestry of Starless from 1.53, that drum kicks ass hard!
