The only Impaled Nazarene I’ve listened to all the way through is Latex Cult. What are your favs out of the discog, Hawks?

You're on CRACK. Jet Set over Sonic Nurse is pure tomfoolery. Bad Moon over Sister and Daydream??? Evol is better than Bad Moon! I call ragebait.

15. Rather Ripped
16. The Eternal

Death Valley ‘69 IS a banger for all time, I’ll admit

Lydia Lunch 🥰🥰

Death Valley '69 is the centerpiece of Bad Moon Rising, but whenever I think of that album, I think of the beautiful combo of Halloweeen & Flower. Kim shined on those tracks, once again and forever more.
|
| |
Fr lol, Death Valley 69 has always been an underwhelming finale for me (Lydia Lunch and Thurston rly bring out the most affected, unconvincing side of each other) but I always stick around for those Kim tracks. Halloween in particular keeps that album floating around the top 5 of their discog

Halloween feels pretty Velvet Underground-ish to my ear. Am I making that up?
|
| |
the sparse arrangement, prod style and stripped-down pop ethos are very TVU yeah, but the guitar hook and Kim vocal are unmistakably SY
top 1 songs written about Henry Rollins' sex appeal (maybe there is a rival squirreled away in some obscure pocket of Lou Reed's solo discog though idk)

Ye Halloween is an amazing track. should’ve been on the regular track list.
