The Airing of Grievances is fantastic.

No Fang Island comparison, though.

for all the scope and messiness of this that people praise it for i find it pretty bland and repetitive idk i definitely wanted some more variation musically.

i'm not saying it's bad or anything though it's definitely a good album

tbh rom unless you were hoping Titus would whip out some sweeping orchestral fills or suddenly switch over to electro pop I'm really not all that sure you can vary this too much more.

Personally this is a very unique record.

but ya, check Grievances if you want--though i can assure you it's not all that different from The Monitor.

i think this album does some pretty great things musically tbh, especially in the opening and closing tracks and a pot in which to piss

A Pot in Which To Piss is musically the best thing in the TA arsenal.

A Pot in Which to Piss and Battle of the Hampton Roads are best musically.

Rom you seem to like lo-fi albums quite a bit so Airing of Grievances might be better for you

yeah i really should check it out, i remember i youtubed the opening track a while ago and it seemed a bit more focused maybe? even with the muddy production.

gotta add though i feel like this would translate fantastically live

to me there isn't any particular interesting instrumental aspects or dynamics per se that enhance the record

rather it's the fervor that they are played with that makes it so brilliant

its the riffs that are baller and fuzzy and all things good and chill
