Saw them a few weeks ago and they played (I think) every song but Tempest from this. Honestly is was the anti-hits set mostly, which fucking rules because the other times I've seen them they mostly played the hits. Hearing the Grudge / the Patient / Push it was otherworldly.

"I did think a lot of this was kinda boring at first though"
Same here but the thing grew on me so hard it's up there with their other best work. I love how Maynard actually gave the band the chance to shine here in almost every track. His ability to restrict himself here makes the album.

Nah, the second half of descending would benefit from a few words, and obviously culling voices is incomplete. He should've restricted himself in the first two verses of tempest though. Those are some poor lyrics

Disagree completely. Descending is absolutely perfect as is.

If he had sung in it you'd probably be talking about how his verses in it were perfect lol

You're both wrong. Maynard should sing and don't at the same time, like Schreddingstein's cat.

As you should. But you shouldn't. Have no fear, Elon Musk will save us. Neuralink will save us all. We will essentially become machines, not the human using a machine as an extent of the body i.e. Cell Phones, but in our thoughts. Whatever we think will be shared globally and then we can all become one. One. The definition of our quality without hiding in suffering from guilt not being able to speak our minds to one another verbally or through messaging. They will know what we think. They will control what we think. They will think what we think they think we are thinking. Like that one Megadeth song...anyone wanna play scrabble? I know some words. Imagine playing your grandparents and getting Anachronism ending the "m" on a triple word score. That is something Elon cannot emulate.
