Best first 6 album stretch ever

Zep's first 6 are prob the closest thing to Sabbath's first 6.

The genre of doom metal is lucky to have had a great band come in and set everything up for them. Not like, say, metalcore where 10,000 influences smashed together to create a legion of confusingly mediocre bands with a few jewels here and there.

Still, Zep will never be close to reach Sabbath's and Purple's awesomeness

I need to jam Purple more tbh, although Burn was prob their last great album.

Perfect Strangers is prob my fave post-Strombringer. Never dug CTtB that much

Come Taste the Band is seriously underrated imo. My love for Tommy Bolin probably has something to do with why I love it so much, even though it's far from being one of his best performances.

I think the lack of Blackmore is what I struggled with

Tomy Bolin is one of the most underrated guitarists ever, but what he did with Purple wasn't pretty good
Perfect Stranger is by far their best album outside their classic era, very underrated imo
