Hope there’s still a Bloodmoon II planned, I think the record is great but tbh it feels like a foundation for something even better. And with Chelsea and Converge now putting out some killer records on their own, idk hopefully we can see where they take this project next.

After jamming every album this month, I legit prefer Halo in a Haystack to this off solely my personal tastes. Not bad but not something I really love/dig. Flower Moon is an excellent track though. Respect to them for always experimenting and trying new shit even if its not for me

I got another hot take: Halo is a great record and I’m tired of pretending it’s not. It’s easily their “worst” album, but if your output is so fucking good and consistent that your “worst” album defaults to a still pretty killer record you made when you were children… yeah you might be the best band of all time.

oh yeah i did listen to this. kind of surprised i didn't love it considering converge's longer sludge songs are my favorite of theirs. especially grim heart/black rose. the converge elements just felt kind of perfunctory. i thought this was a combo that would work but maybe each are just better on their own. just didn't go together for me. not the right blend i think, bit wolfe heavy.



few nice songs though. namely crimson stone and the opener. maybe i will return eventually for another shot but i don't really feel a need to for awhile.
