I actually really dug Roboscope, but I MUCH prefer Fear of Fear
Honestly I've loved everything they've done, but albums feel like more complete works of art to me rather than just singles or small collections of songs
Luckily, Fear of Fear actually feels like a short album, unlike most EPs that aren't that thematically/atmospheric consistent but still, could have used a few more songs to make it a real complete work

I've heard they're doing album 2 next but who knows

I get why people didn't like Rotoscope as a whole but Hysteria is unironically one of my favorite songs of theirs. That said, the new EP is definitely better
And yeah, they are apparently doing Album 2 next

Rotoscope track rules agreed [2]
plus as a veteran backtracker I'm happy to say new EP has skills to pay the bills. been taking my sweet ass time with it and haven't been disappointed other than two tracks that just play the same riff over and over and we know the tracks I'm talking about. still good.

Cellar Door, but like I said, still a good track

Awwww I fuckin love Cellar Door
Angel Eyes def doesn't match it in terms of just evil sounding brutality imo - still good, but yeah Cellar Door is the superior heavy track here

Their ultra-heavy songs kind of wear off quickly for me but Cellar Door is still pretty cool. The fast riffs are a breath of fresh air

Ultraviolet and Angel Eyes ended up being my choices here, The Void goes without saying

Yeah Cellar Door is sticking with me
Fucking hell, Ultraviolet just came on as I was typing this.
Yeah Jaded and Ultraviolet are wayyyyyyy up there with stuff like Blessed Be, Secret Garden and Constance for me.
Edit: And Circle With Me

The respective music videos alone are underrated imo, I love their cinematic approach to each one. It's wild to see so much effort to go into just an EP.

It's a damn shame that Blessed Be--and Rule of Nines for that matter--are both stand-alone singles and weren't included on this album--not even as part of a deluxe
