'real question is, why are king crimson so good and rush so bad?'

I mean, you're right of course, but if this is your opinion then surely you know the answer?

I was tempted to just say 'VOCALS', definitely the most off-putting part of that band for me.

Just yesterday I was thinking how "I lay steady, stare at the ceiling waking fears of nothing… In this perfect hour / gasping in a sleepless kneel" is an actual lyric on this record. 16-year old me would've been impressed, but as a grown up, I smirked the 1st time I noticed it.

After sitting with this album a while I kinda agree with the review although I still like it regardless. This seems more like a growing pains type album, since I believe they have the capability to create entrancing music since they've done it before and rather well. This has a nice air behind it, but it is a little thin at points.

Edit, also fucking hell I hate missing out on 62 pages of discussion. You fuckers comment so fast granted half the comments are probably standard sput shitposts

"you can't just drop my name and expect me to arrive"

I seem to remember a time when just saying the words "Taylor Swift" or "Muse" would invoke a user named SowingSeason to burst into a thread like the Kool Aid man.

I get the hate for Shelter by Alcest now. Shelter was my entry point into Alcest and I thought it was pretty cool, but everyone was saying how bland it was. New Bermuda was my entry to deafheaven and IG seems so bland compared to that.
