I think Waste and Could Never Be Heaven would be my SF cuts. It's not that they're bad songs, but they really don't fit the creepy vibe of the album. They also have very little going on instrumentally or in terms of dynamic songwriting progression. I think Out of Mana could also be part of that conversation, but I like the riff (as basic and repetitive as it is) and it's bailed out by the outro, which is fantastic.

Also, for whatever it's worth, Daisy has evolved into my favorite Brand New album. Not saying it's objectively the best, but I feel the need to return to it way more often than TDAG or SF.

Calling a single line that tangentially references a prior song "fan service" seems like a bit of a stretch; it's not like they went full pop-punker mode and dedicated half a song to reprising their greatest hits. Agree the feigned, deep-bellied delivery of that specific lyric is a tad cringe but even most of my favorite films have a questionable scene or piece of dialogue here and there, these sorts of sins are forgivable if you're a believer in what everything looks like zoomed out. The other criticisms, while being obviously subjective (as nearly all criticisms are), seem bolstered by quixotic standards from a band that also previously wrote stuff like "you've set on me but you are not the sun" and "the champ goes down like a clown in the second round" and "i'd hold them down and squeeze real soft and let a piece of myself die" and "you're so good at talking smack you heart attack but you're the apple of my eye anyway" and so on and so forth.
