I do not have this or any Tool, but plan on picking this up......that is why i am a member of this site....to get turned on to new stuff I have never heard. Why would a band this popular have a guitarist that is ....quote..."not top notch"?

Hes not a wanker. Jones has his own style and always gives the song what it needs. He plays with alot of emotion but hes not going to rip heads off with blazing solos which is what I guess some people equate to being a "top notch" player. Tool isnt a guitar centric band. The bass and drums are just as center stage.

They are all great, but I'd have to agree with MO and say that Maynard and Danny are the heart & soul of Tool.
