Yeah re-listen.

I wasn't the biggest fan of it at first either.

I prefer grace to any Tim Buckley album but then I am quite basic

Starsailor and Happy Sad I like a lot, but you'll also find the dudes here who swear Lorca is the best thing he did

It's been so long I can't actually remember what reservations I had about his music

His voice is legitimately really odd.

Impressive but no less odd for it.

I've listened to this album nearly every way imaginable - stumbling down the street walking home after a few beers I've done a few times yeah, before going out with the missus I've put it on, pitch dark headphones listen, often soundtracks the commute....I mean it doesn't make the gym playlist but that's about it

'Hard Sun, hits so much after a few beers

I was saying on the Nick Cave new album thread a song on that one choked me this morning, incredible album

It was actually Magneto but i think it might have just been the accumulative effect of listening to the songs before it too - it just became too much lol

Magneto was actually something of a reprieve for me, that and Rings of Saturn I reckon are the breaths you get between him pounding your heart into the fucking ground with all the rest

He's got a lot to pound Row.

Real deal. You can always tell the difference.

Nick makes me proud to be Australian unlike most other things which have come out of Australia. True icon

Good year for Australia with The Drones and Nick Cave sitting on 4.5s - look at me uncovering this new hotbed of young talent
