The Insulated World... a little corny tbh. I shall be pre-ordering the top tier in any case.

The announcement trailer is up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FpNauhV4XlY
I'd be eh with the title but I like it in context with the tour name 'Wearing Human Skin', like someone is feeling a prisoner inside their own body. Since I got a bunch of money recently I'll probably pre-order the top tier as well.

Aye, fair enough like. But compare it to a title like DSS and it pales. haha Nice one bud m/
cool its not far off too

To be fair DSS is their best album title, they always do interviews explaining why they chose their album titles anyway. I'm looking forward to the album art and packaging though due to that trailer.

"I asked Okami Records on Facebook if they were planning on giving the new album a European release, and they confirmed they are. might hold off for that since I'm trying to save money"
Not a bad idea actually. I have both the JP top tier ltd. edition, and the European version of Arche and the latter came with lyrical translations. Unfortunately, no romaji. Just the English translation.

yeah, they messaged me again later to say they'll have an announcement about the European release soon, so hopefully there won't be a huge delay between the Japanese release and that.

With Arche, the European release was simultaneous with Japan's digitally, but the CD release got delayed by 2-3 months due to pressing problems/delays as they were getting the parts straight from Japan apparently.
Hopefully this time, they're more organized and prepared w/production on their pressings to have the CD release coincide w/Japan's. Or rather the EU CD release date falls on the Friday of the release week as Japan (maybe the rest of Asia as well) doesn't follow the western release date schedule of Fridays.

Their English translations don't flow well btw :/
However, that's pretty much a universal standard in their music industry, not just Dir.

I've always boycotted the EU releases. They only do a pretty bog-standard CD for the EU, don't they? I buy their music for the packaging as much as the music itself.

You're correct minus Uroboros, which had a limited digipack with 2007 live footage. Also, I wholeheartedly agree with the packaging along with the music. Feels like an extension to the album with how good their packaging is so I always buy the limited editions.

Aye, I remember Uroboros having a few variants; I bought a Play.com exclusive which had maggots acoustic and another bonus track (which I can't remember at the present lol).
But yeah, it's definitely an extension, I completely agree.

The DSS European limited edition digipak is the nicest release next to the Japanese limited set, actually.

Oh yeah, I forgot DSS had one too.

Everything that’s been said w/music and packaging so far I agree. The Uroboros and DSS stand-alone vinyl releases in the US and EU (well Uroboros didn’t get the vinyl treatment in EU) were nice packaging for the medium as well and I have them both albeit Uroboros is moderately warped which sadly affects playback. Oh well, it’s a nice artifact if anything.

The limited pressing for the Rinkaku single is probably my fav packaging. The art is gorgeous to look at, so much work over a single.

Yeah, it's one of the better ones. Sustain the Untruth's artwork was so damn ugly lol

I think one of my faves from this collection of book-styled special editions is the one for this album. The artwork is gorgeous, I love the Lovecraftian tinge to it and its colouring.

Yeah Sustain's artwork isn't great, at least the rest of it is great. The Arche deluxe edition was worth the money, easily.

a lot easier to put on a shelf too, as opposed to the big bulky space fillers of DSS and Uro
