Why mustard though? And why fingering?

Then, they can finger ketchup and mustard together on the next one. It is all about evolution here. And condiments.

Have they ever talked about why they chose this album cover? I like this album a lot but it was def an odd choice for a cover.

the cover would have been better without the gold stuff dripping down, but it's a neat concept regardless

it's telling how the crossed-fingers logo is still something they use in merch and such but it doesn't have the weird paint

I thought the album cover was a shot of the kid's hand behind his back when his mom asked him if he fingered the jar of mustard again and he said no

So, I don't hate Dissenter anymore. Only took 6 years. Time to pop this bad boy up to a 4.5, methinks

i don't even dislike Harbinger but wow this would almost definitely be my favorite Anberlin album if they closed with an epic.

I remember Stephen Christian supporting the candidacy of some crazy religious nut for Congress. It's not a surprise given he's the lead singer of a Christian band from the South, but still.

I just looked at the Dissenter lyrics, and lol. In their defense, those are still better lyrics than, like, Breaking.

And in an Anberlin thread. Just like old times

I just read the lyrics to Dissenter, too. Those are, uh, some lyrics, yeah.

I wish I did not know that about the song, I try to ignore lyrics since the band use to use the Christian rock label on their music

This is true, Breaking is incredibly catchy. It's just pretty juvenile lol. I don't have to agree with Stephen Christian's stances on capitalism/ socialism tbh, although Dissenter just blows musically.

Stranger Ways and Hearing Voices were my favorites I think but I haven't listened to this in probably a half decade.

I have heard most of the songs from this in shuffle at some point, but I haven't jammed it in full in quite a while
