He's never been an amazing vocalist, but he gets the job done.

I really like his clean voice actually. He was always competent when screaming but it sounds awkward with his sound.

I've only ever jammed Hybrid Theory and Meteora, how much of a departure are the rest of their records?

Glad to see the love for this album, if they can't make another Hybrid Theory then this suffices pleasantly.

@claygurnz They pretty much changed direction completely, only like two songs off Minutes to Midnight sound even close to old LP and the next few albums are shite, this is the closest to their old sound they'll probably ever get to.

They pretty much completely changed genres starting with MTM

This one is the most similar to the first 2, though it has more punk and metal influences and less hip-hop influences. MTM is sort of a mixed bag, some punk tracks, some metal tracks, some alt rock tracks, some idek tracks. ATS is really interesting and underrated, drawing from tons of different genres and adding lots of electronics to the mix. Living Things is sort of like the first 2 but more electronic.
All of their albums are worth listening to, though. MTM is the weakest, but even it has some really good songs.

So anyone heard anything new ?
Last I heard they said that they are focusing more on the songwriting than the melodies at this point, which sounds somewhat promising.

They are writing the vocal parts first I think, that's all I know, but no sign of new music

Wonder what direction they are gonna go ? More rock or more electronic. I'd prefer something in the middle.

last i heard anything new about linkin park somebody was stalking shinoda.
MTM has the best album closer of their career. little things give you away is a kind of song i didnt think they were capable of, especially because of the album its on.

Actually this album has the best closer of LP's career, a line in the sand is eclectic and the last 2 minutes are epic as fuck. little things give you away is pretty good but it could have been better.
Havent heard anything new about LP with the exception that they will release the next album in the 2nd half of the year, hope their keep a lot of elements of this record

I think little things is a shitload better then the closer here
|

Neh, this one is more eclectic and more powerful, besides the instrumental and vocal work are more solid, specially the mash up between brad's solo and chester's vocals here is fantastic . Little things is pretty good ( specially for MTM which major flaw was the ballads which were awful) but IMO the solo could have been better and it needs a little bit of variety. Anyways both tracks are some of the best tracks crafted by linkin

never understood the love for little things, by far one of the most boring songs LP has ever done tbh
