Yeah actually thinking about it probably is worse.

What's the worst song on here? Slither? Cusp of Eternity's better than that come on
|
| |
The Lines in My Hand.
Nah Slither is definitely better, even if it is bottom 3 on here.
|
| |
New album cover is pretty off-putting as well

It's certainly close

I've only listened to Heritage twice but Slither was definitely a highlight for me...
New track is decent, but I wish the riff was more...melodic? Don't get me wrong, I love the groove it gives, but it's a bit chuggy and mixed in a bit too quietly for my tastes.

It's certainly harder to judge when we don't have a full album to get some context

new track was ok, hopefully everything else is better

new song is really boring
|

I wouldn't say that Opeth singles are the best on an album, (grand conjuration, porcelain heart, the drapery falls) but it did
show some good signs, so it makes this wait all the more agonising....
|
| |
The Drapery Falls is awesome though
|
| |
Not saying it isn't, but I wouldn't consider it the best song from BWP
|
| |
Haha knew JT wouldn't like the single. We're almost polar opposites when it comes to Opeth all the time.
|
| |
I think The whole Sputnik community has been polarised by that song. It was good, I don't see all the fuss against it
|
| |
After about 7 listens I can say that I think it's easily better than anything on Heritage.
|
| |
Agreed completely
|
| |
Is there a good link to the new song anywhere? Original link got nuked

Stephen Wilton will be on the new record along with Akerstache....providing those pristine synthesizer swells he's known for.
bring on 1988! Woo baybuh.
|
| |
He did it with Damnation, so hopefully it'll be similarish
|
| |
For a joke band, Akerstache ain't half bad (and their song titles are hilarious). BAYBUUUH
