The biggest reason that I resent when this album is heralded as a one of the “big three” of trip hop over albums like pf by unkle, personally I think his work after this is a little better, I know nobody agrees
maxinquaye by tricky, or lamb by lamb etc is that when you look at the rest of dj shadows discog it really seems like he caught lightning in a bottle with this and that it was a complete fluke that it was so good. Like he literally has not made a single good piece of music since.
