It's amazing how that quote from me on the page before this is only four months old but I barely remember either of those two concerts

"This one was a huge disappointment because there were no original Underoath members and let's face it the Norma Jean drummer is not as good as Aaron Gillespie."
I realize they aren't "original members" but everyone, except for their last drummer, has been in the band for over 10 years. I think changing drummers on this album was a really good move, considering the severe differences in musical direction between current band members and Aaron. Another album with him would have been clearly forced, and would have only taken away from the sound they have achieved here.
Also, one of my gripes for Aaron as a drummer, is that he often tried to cram as much drumming into a song as possible instead of helping the song become a cohesive unit.

Because this needs more love.

It does. I might bump down my rating 0.5 points, but that doesn't mean I love it any less. Some great jams on here

YEAH LETS FACE IT.
FACE IT, EVERYONE.
FACE IT.
seriously this album is ominous as fuck and just straight up smashing on every front.

This album is the nuts. Love Define but this is on another level imo.

I was at the last show, it was pretty emotional. Awesome show though and a great sendoff.
I've seen Spencer quite a few times around the mall I worked at since then, but I've never wanted to talk to him since he seems to have become a bit of a douche in recent years. I did once a long time ago and it was cool, but that was before Disambiguation came out and he seemed a lot less jaded.

Fame can get to people, man.

I don't know if he's actually like that now, again he was cool when I talked to him back in mid-2010, but that was a long time ago. I might have seen an interview or heard something that made me think he'd become more jaded and kind of douchey, but it may have been circumstantial or just on a particular subject. I'd probably try to talk to him again but I prefer to give people their space even if they'd probably be fine with chatting.

Need to watch Tired Violence, trailer looked really promising.
|
| |
I probably am haha. I thought about going to the Tired Violence world premier at a local venue but it didn't seem worth paying $15. As for the album, tied with Define the Great Line for best.

Really didn't have much staying power tbh

16 year old me would be super pissed if I told him I thought this was better than DTGL.
|

I don't really care for dtgl either lol

I love them both, this just has a slight edge. I just kinda grew out of Aarons voice and especially his drumming style. The dude can play, but a little restraint really goes a long way.

DTGL was ight, this and LITSOS are def better
|
| |
LITSOS is my least favorite out of their last three, the middle drags too much.
|
| |
If it had a couple tracks like My Deteriorating Incline my opinion might be different
