Never gets old.
Re; LaBrie cheese comments I recall struggling a bit with this at first. But of course you then move on to newer DT after which IaW LaBrie is more than palatable.

TAKING LIFE TO SAVE LIFE

Learning to Live is DT's best song. Octavarium is a close second.

Learning to Live is first.
ACoS is second.

ACOS is top 5 absolutely. Would also add my votes for Blind Faith, In the Name of God, Trial of Tears, and The Count of Tuscany.

A Fortune in Lies would probably end up being in my top 5 along with Scarred, Learning to Live, Under a Glass Moon and Erotomania.

I want to say their best is Voices, but Stream of Consciousness, Fatal Tragedy, Erotomania and the Octavarium t/t are up there with the tracks that have stuck with me (been quite a while since my DT obsession years)
Learning to Live is awesome though, would definitely put that on their A-tier

Surrounded is really, really fucking good

Octavarium isn't that good of a song it fools you by being super long

Learning to Live probably, but Surrounded is up there as well. I have to say I listen more to Awake 15 years into my DT listening, but that may just be due to wearing out IaW back in my obsessive days. Kevin Moore era DT is where it's at though, that's for sure.

Not a huge fan of Octavarium either. Good tune, but I probably enjoy 30 DT songs better than that one.
The best: Learning, Surrounded, Space Dye, ACOS, Home, Lines, Voices, Pull Me Under, Blind Faith

Voices is probably my favourite. Love Take the Time as well, as well as all those listed above.
Would also add In the Name of God, Glass Prison, Misunderstood, Breaking all Illusions.
