Yanqui U.X.O. is definitely spiritual.I guess its a subjective thing though. GYBE/ Swans are spiritual in the way Glenn Branca is.

I don't know it just kind of surprises me every time I see their discog on Sput cause it seems like so many classic bands have a spree of albums or at the very least a few really close to classic albums
I would feel rather discouraged if I made a band and had to go through 3 records without much critical acclaim. Granted this is all in hindsight, maybe they were beloved for the first few years. I just feel kind of bad, ya'know : [
